Get involved with LocalGov Digital

There are lots of ways you can get involved with LocalGov Digital.

Work in local government?

If you work in local government you're already a part of the LocalGov Digital network. If you'd like to get more actively involved how about -

  • Adding your blog to LocalGov Digital Voices and sharing your work and thoughts with others in the network. If you don't have your own blog we're always happy to run guest posts - just get in touch and we'll help you share.

  • Getting involved with LocalGov Digital Makers and collaborating with other practitioners on best practice and tools for digital content, design and development.

  • Come along to LocalGovCamp or one of our other events.

  • Get in touch with a steering group member to find out more about the network, our work or suggest ways we can work with you.

Local councillor?

  • Get involved in Local Democracy Bytes and help rewire local democracy. Whether you're already a digitally skilled local leader or you're wondering how digital changes democracy LDBytes is there to support you and share your ideas with a wider network.

  • Come along to LocalGovCamp (which in 2014 incorporates CouncillorCamp) or our fringe event for local leaders.

Other sectors and individuals

We recognise that local government is changing and needs to work collaboratively with other sectors, communities and individuals. We'd really like to hear from anyone who wants to get involved with the work of the network or support our work in some way.

We'd also really like you to use our usability dashboard to help improve council websites, and feed back to us so we can improve this beta tool even further.
