Join the Pipeline Project Team

Founded in 2012 LocalGov Digital is the network for digital practitioners working in or around local government. We've created digital Content Standards for local government websites, a Website Usability Dashboard, guides including “How to Share Stuff” and more.

In 2014 we ran LocalGovCamp and our Chair, Carl Haggerty was named by the Local Government Chronicle as one of the 50 most influential people in Local Government.

LocalGov Digital are offering a great opportunity to get involved with Makers, our workstream for developers and designers. We're looking for people to contribute to the development of Pipeline, our innovation and collaboration platform and other projects, in 2015.

With people from over 80 councils already signed up to Pipeline in its first two months, it promises a great year for the platform.

Details are as follows:
Salary: £0
Hours: As little or as much as you like.
Location: Wherever you like.

OK, so you've probably guessed this isn't really a job advertisement. Pipeline was created by LocalGov Digital Makers and we're looking for like minded people who want to join us in developing a platform aid innovation and encourage collaboration in local government.

Pipeline is open source and the code is available on GitHub. There's a Trello board to help give the development some direction. We also run regular Google hangouts, and occasional face-to-face meets to discuss Pipeline.

LocalGov Digital is about councils working together to share skills and improve what those working in local government produce, subsequently benefiting the people they serve. If you'd like to get involved, or have any questions please get in touch by tweeting @LGMakers or email [email protected].

Make a change to local government in 2015 by helping to kick start a collaborative community of digital makers.
