12 December 2014: 2.30pm - 5.30pm
In Person: Department for Communities and Local Government, 2 Marsham Street, London, SW1P 4DF.
Online: Google+ Hangout
Pipeline was launched in October 2014 by LocalGov Digital to aid innovation and collaboration in local government. It's a platform to aid the creation of Makers Project Teams, or "digital factories". Since its launch, people from 70 councils have signed up.
This event is to review the Pipeline as it is now, and plan development for the future. The event will be split into three parts:
A short session on how Pipeline was created and how coders can get involved with the team that's continuing to develop it.
User Needs Review
At the Makers Meet-Up in September 2014 an initial set of user needs was established, you can see them and more about Pipeline on its Trello Board. We'll review these to see if they're still valid and look to see if more are needed, now that Pipeline is in use.
From Pipeline to Reality
The biggest challenge is how to turn well meaning words on Pipeline into actual collaboration. In these workshop sessions we'll explore ideas on how this could be achieved.
